Using Your Tax Refund to Invest in Your Home

A home is your biggest asset, and taking care of it is a smart investment that can bring great outcomes. Home improvement is always a great avenue to take, here are a couple ideas on what you use that refund on:

- Garage facelift: Create a great curb appeal by replacing your garage door. Single doors, double doors, whatever you see fit can cost you anywhere from $500 to $2,000.

- Portable generator: living in a city with four seasons, being prepared does not hurt. You never know what mother nature might throw at you. A large generator should power some lights, refrigerator, a heater and a few other essentials. Portable generators can cost you anything from $500 to $2,000 depending on the size.

These are just a couple ideas, I'm sure there are many other things you can replace around your home that not only improve your home but can also be money saving investments.
