Winter is on its way out, and warm sunny days are on their way in. With that comes pesty pests! Controlling them may be one of your top priorities this spring and summer. Here are a couple tips on controlling pests from coming into your home.

• Inspects your windows. If you have screens, check for any tears, if there are any make sure to replace the screen.
• Inspect the exterior of your home for any holes or cracks along the window seal and foundation. Make sure to seal them to avoid any pests from getting in.
• Trim any branches that are touching your home. This can cut access for insects to climb onto your home and in through any windows, doors, cracks or holes.
• Do that tough deep cleaning on the inside of your home. Primarily in your kitchen. Move those kitchen appliances and scrub off any grease and food residue that has built up.
• Plan on taking out the trash more often. Make sure trash has a lid to avoid critters from helping themselves to your trash.
• Keep all open food in sealed containers, and clean up any food spills.
